As usual, the Wise Bird who loves flying not only for pleasure sake, recently flew over every nook and crannies of the country to see and observe what is happening in those places and importantly to inform the anxious population accordingly.
What the curious Bird noticed especially here in Freetown where it starts its sojourn was annoying to say the least.
The intelligent animal was perturbed with the deafening noise everywhere. Bra Parrot saw all the traders, those selling on tables, those carrying pure or cold water, oranges, pepper sellers, fishmongers, top-up sellers and vegetable sellers among others holding mega-phones and loud speakers in their hands rudely calling the attention of buyers.
The noise as stated is everywhere in the city in homes, work places, in poda-podas, market places, police stations, hospitals but Sani Abacha Street is notorious more than anywhere, where one could hardly answer important phone call due to the never ending noise.
Honestly, Bra Parrot is not comfortable with the present condition of things in the municipality.
From all indications, it looks like the once quiet city no longer holds it values which has made the peaceful and quiet animal to consider relocating another abode where it can enjoy perfect quietness and freedom.
This nuisance has become unbearable. It appears no authority is in control because both the Municipal council and its supervising Ministry, the Internal Affairs are virtually doing nothing to curtail the menace. All the FCC is particularly interested in is the daily collection of market dues and nothing more.
This is really what has annoyed the Brave Bird who wants nothing but development of the City and the Country in general and has promised to put the Council on its toes until the needful is done, so that the Wise Bird will have peace of mind and fully support their operations as a Council at all times.
