For involving into gay activities, Police Declares Ibrahim Mansaray wanted
Fifty-five-years-old, Kemoh Bangura, a tailor, fifty-years-old, Alimamy Bangura, a driver and fifty-eight years-old, Pa Alimamy Kargbo, a farmer has made another appearance before magistrate Santigie Bangura of Pademba Road court No.2 in Freetown.
They stood on a count of murder as contrary to section 4 of the offences against the person Act 1816.
According to the particulars of offence on Saturday 20 April 2024 at Rokon Village, Magbina section, Bake Loko Chiefdom Port Loko, the northern province in Freetown solicited the services of herbalist Alusine Kamara to kill one doctor Abu Bakarr Bangura.
When the charge was read and explained to the accused person, No plea was taken.
When the matter was mentioned, the prosecutor sought for a short adjournment date.
Counsel representing the accused person was Charles Pujeh and he applied for bail for and on behalf of the accused person that they’re Sierra Leonean residents in Freetown. They have reliable sureties who are willing and ready to satnd on their behalf and they will not interfere with prosecution witness or witnesses nor will they jump bail.
He made his application pursuant to section 79 (2) of the Criminal Procedure Act No.32 of 1965.
Meanwhile, magistrate Bangura due to the failure of the prosecution to file an affidavit in opposition, has granted the accused persons bail in the sum of 100,000 with two sureties each in like sum.
But the sureties are to produce valid identity cards depicting their addresses in Freetown.
And bail was to be approved by the Deputy assistant Registrar while the matter was adjourned till 12 June 2024.
