On behalf of the Director-General, Management and Staff of Sierra Leone Ports and Harbours Authority, we extend our deepest condolences to the family of Head Coach-Lamin Bangura on his untimely passing resulting from a gruesome accident along the Freetown-Mile 91 highway. His sudden departure while on active duty with Ports Authority: FC has left us all profoundly saddened.
Coach Bangura’s dedication, passion, and leadership have left an indelible mark on our organization, and his loss will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. We share in your grief during this difficult time and offer our sincerest sympathy and support.
Meanwhile, our thoughts and prayers are with each member of our team and their families who have been deeply impacted and profoundly saddened by this tragic event, lamented SLPHA’s Director-General, Yankuba Askia Bio.
The Authority assures the injured players and technical staff members of support during this difficult moment and the SLPHA will continue to provide FULL care (medial and otherwise) needed as you navigate through this period of mourning and pain.
Meanwhile, we extend our thanks and appreciations to the football fraternity for their love and support during this period and we are particularly grateful to the Management of Bo Rangers Football Club who were amongst the first responders to this tragedy.
