As events unfold in world’s sports, Sierra Leonean international starlet, Mohamed Buya Turay, has joined USL Championship side Birmingham Legion in USA from Odense Boldklub in an undisclosed fee.
Although, Odense Boldklub last month, has officially announced on their website that Mohamed Buya Turay is departing the Danish club.
“We would like to say our appreciations to Buya for his efforts during his time with OB, and we wish him and his family all the best for their future endeavours,” says Björn Wesström, football director at OB.
They said the agreement with Birmingham Legion FC regarding the transfer of Mohamed buya Turay was apt and awesome.
As per the new agreement, the 29-year-old striker is expecting to move to America to play for his newly signed club immediately.
Turay had signed temporarily two years deal with Odense that was expected to end until 2025.
But the deal becomes buffeted as Leone Stars’ striker is now ready to take up a new challenge in America.
Birmingham Legion FC is an American professional soccer club based in Alabama.
Buya is set to compete in the USL Championship, the second division of American soccer.
The team was established in August 2013 under the name Birmingham Hammers until 2018. They began their first professional season, going with the name Legion FC, on March 10, 2019.
