The reason why well-meaning Sierra Leoneans loves the Wise Bird is because whenever he sends out an article, nobody will contest it because he does his investigations and research properly to be able to give correct and accurate news to the people he is accountable to.

The most respected, patriotic, fearless and uncompromising animal is not accountable to anybody or group of individuals; he is only accountable to the people of Sierra Leone that he represents.

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) was created by an Act of Parliament and that is more the reason the people Sierra Leone, including politicians have the greatest respect for the institution, say what you may, they have played their own part as an institution in their way.

The Commission is not only meant to charge people to court as the general public perceive it to be, but to also recover/collect allegedly misused, misappropriated and unaccounted government funds.

Notwithstanding the fact that, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has been losing certain cases charged to court in respect of corrupt practices, but yet still the Commission has also made some gains in other areas.

The Wise Bird has noticed that the Commission has collected huge sums of monies from individuals allegedly accused of corruption.

The Wise Bird could vividly recalled in the first term of President Bio the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) collected huge sums of monies allegedly retrieved from corrupt persons or group of persons. At one time, a cheque was handed over to President Bio at State House purported to be monies collected by the Chief Commissioner of the ACC, Mr. Francis Ben Kaifala.

However, the unfortunate part of it is that, the Wise Bird cannot recall the exact amount of money that was in the cheque as the bird is far from telling lies (sorry about that).

In receiving the cheque, President Julius Maada Bio said among other things that, the money would be used as seed money to build an ultramodern hospital at a place call Kerry Town.

The Wise Bird is very much concerned to know where the money is and whether the project is ongoing since he received the money.

The Wise Bird is reliably informed that since 2018 to now, the Commission has allegedly collected 38 billion Leones from alleged corrupt persons.

The question the Wise Bird is asking is how far is the project? Whether the entire project is ongoing and if not, where is the money?

The brave bird contacted few authorities in respect of the cheque and other monies so far collected by the ACC and handed over to the President. Some say the project is a white elephant, whilst others are saying the project is up space, if, and only if the project is ongoing, let the Pa tell the general public.
