It could be recalled that, the Africa24 newspaper, front page on the 16th December, 2024 put out a headline captioned “JAGABAN” to appear in court.
It must be noted that, Africa24 newspaper has integrity to protect and will never put out, what was called on that front page, stop-press and put an embargo on it.
When the Wise Bird got wind of the information, he went into full scale investigations to get the facts plus documents to substantiate his story.
Fortunately, the wise bird got it all, he can Authoritatively now say that, Mr. Mohamed O. Kamara commonly called “JAGABAN” of 22 Malta Street, Freetown has been served a writ of summon dated 24th day of November in the year of our Lord 2023.
According to documents presently available with the bird states that, Mohamed O. Kamara aka Jagaban is to give the plaintiff one (Alhaji Ibrahim K. Daramy the sum of US$ 10,000 (Ten Thousand United States Dollars) as money owed and due him.
According to statement of claim from the records; that the Plaintiff’s claim against the Defendant Mohamed O. Kamara (Jagaban) as he is commonly called is the recovery of the sum of US$ 10,000 (Ten Thousand United States Dollars) as money owned and due to the Plaintiff (Mr. Daramy).
The bird also saw from records that, interest pursuant to section 4(1) of the law Reform (miscellaneous provision) cap 19 of the laws of Sierra Leone 1960.
Furthermore, the particulars of claim states among other things that, the Plaintiff (Mr. Daramy) is and was at all material time during the transaction acted as an agent.
The Plaintiff (Mr. Daramy used his negotiating skills and brought the initial price of US$ 180.000 (One Hundred and Eighty Thousand United States Dollars) to US$ 160,000 (One Hundred and sixty Thousand United States Dollars), the later price at which the Defendant (Jagaban) herein bought the property.
It is also clear that, a reputable Law-Firm, Jengo, Sam & Partners have written a strong worded letter dated 17th February 2023 to Momamed O. Kamara (Jagaban) requesting the $10,000 owed and due to their client that also fell in deaf ears.
The Writ in question was issued by JENGO, SAM & PARTNER a reputable Law-firm.
The most respected animal is of the view that, an agreement of whatever kind must be respected by both parties.
The wise bird will follow the matter to see how the High Court of Sierra Leone will treat the matter.
