The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Shalimar Trading Company, Mr. Moussa Morrowa on Tuesday 29th April, 2025 donated 200 bags of cements to RSLAF spouses at Murray Town military barracks in Freetown.
The gesture aimed at upgrading the status of the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces spouses (RSLAF) specifically on entertainment building complex and other good facilities at the barracks.
Mr. Musa Morrowa is the sole importer of Tricycles (Kekeh and TVS bikes) from India to Sierra Leone.
Over the years, he observed that the barracks had been facing challenges of entertainment and conference hall facilities for women.
He emphasized the incredible work of Sierra Leone military wives mainly in the area of ensuring development and progress at all levels.
“As a trustworthy company, we are pleased to offer the 200 bags of cements to our hardworking army wives. We’re really thrilled of your work and I believe the same opportunity will continue in the upcoming years,” he promised.
In her statement, Madam Hassanatu S. Bangura, President of RSLAF Wives Cooperative Society (RSLWCS) expressed deepest pleasure and joy for the brilliant gift by Shalimar and team, adding that the cement will be fully unitized as expected by the donor.
“We are happy for this wonderful gift from Shalimar Trading Company in the country, and on behalf of the RSLAF wives, we sincerely appreciate the effort and support shown,” she said.
She expressed belief that other reputable companies will emulate the exclusive work of Shalimar.
Fatmata Dumbuya, a member of RSLFA Wives Cooperative Society at Murray Town Barracks, assured pressmen that the facilities would be properly managed, adding that this year’s donation by Shalimar Company will make massive change within the barracks.
She said despite the difficulties they are having with regards access to modern complex building for entertainment and other purposes but she hopes that with the aptly intervention by Mr. Shalimar, the situation will be better.
