The only female candidate in the upcoming SLFA elective congress, Aminata Bangura has declared her aspiration to succeed the incumbent Thomas Daddy Brima, who is running for a second term. The election is scheduled for August 2nd, 2025.
Bangura said: “My dream is to change the SLFA administrative narrative that woman can do it better in positions of trust.”
Reports have also confirmed that Bo Rangers’ Babadi Kamara, the current SLFA president; Thomas Daddy Brima and Umar Bah of Real Republicans and the present manager of the home-based Leone Stars will be contesting.
Despite the huge challenges, Thomas Daddy Brima, made all effort to complete his first four years in office, and he is set to face off against his opponents for the covetous position.
Aminata, is challenging with three men, believing she could spring a shock in the forthcoming polls.
Meanwhile, the SLFA and the electoral board are yet to publish list of candidates, among them a female aspirant hoping to become the second woman to head the body again.
