There are many security agencies in the country and many more are expected to emerge given the fact that some Sierra Leoneans have gained delight in security services as one of the fastest ways of enriching themselves.

The stark reality is many CEOs of some security agencies are only interested in amassing ill-begotten wealth at the peril of those who perform the duty. Without naming names for now there are few exceptions of security agencies that have exemplary outlook in their immense contributions in national development in different ways. One amongst the lot is the Angel Security Agency at 7 Fergusson Street, Freetown.

In an interview with the Chief Executive Officer of the agency Mr. John Paul Conteh recently in his office, he was blunt to say that there is no Security Agencies in the country that is 100% perfect in its entirety but management of the Angel Security Agency are God-fearing people which is why they are going the extra mile to serve their clients diligently and with utmost satisfaction together with their personnel so that they can protect the cooperate image of the agency.

“We are Sierra Leoneans and we want to see our country at the top of Africa rating which is why we are contributing in our little ways to create employment for our brothers and sisters to aid the national development”. The fact remains that there are numerous challenges especially at a precarious time like this in the country and the world at large but we are sacrificing our small earnings to make ends meet for those around us; he stated.

Pa Alie Dakowah a security personnel confirmed that their CEO is exceptional who has an open door policy that is devoid of segregation nor despises anyone. All he desire from them is dedication, honesty and hard work, adding that he always admonished them to desist from stealing and violating other laws binding the agency.

He also added that one good thing about indigenous business people, is they invest their money in Sierra Leone which will help the country and its citizens immensely and is quite advantageous to the country than the foreign business people who are coming to look out for money here and export to their various countries. This is why we are calling on government to create the enabling environment in order to encourage the indigenous business people as they are partners in promoting government’s developmental agenda in various ways.

“In fact our popular slogan is we guide and God Protect. Implicitly, we are compelled to perform our duty diligently and leave the protection to God”, He stated.
