It is evident that, bloggers in the All People’s Congress (APC) party have taken a u-turn in their different approaches meant to embarrass their leaders. Instead of praying for their party’s progress or looking at the ruling party’s loopholes, some senior politicians in the APC are saying bloggers are fomenting more problems for them.
“Every day, new episode unfolds emanating coming the APC side wit an APC fighting an APC.”
“The unprofessional bloggers are on a daily basis falsely accusing their leaders of either to be compromising or receiving money from President Julius Maada Bio.”
The situation has become worse to the extent that even Dr Samura Matthew Wilson Kamara cannot come out clear as a leader to calm down the toxic rantings by these so-called bloggers against their leaders in the party.
“Many may not even be APC registered supporters ;they are attention seekers for money, “says Ibrahim Kargbo, an APC stalwart supporter.
Another supporter of the APC party, Mariatu Sankoh, told this medium that, the current APC party leadership is weak to the extent that even an ordinary farmer is now a blogger against APC.”
“What is happening in the APC party especially with regards the attacks on the leadership which have been addressed by Dr Samura Kamara and team if unity is only between the 2023 executive.”
She said the party has become one of the worst parties because everyone is yearning to become President and as such each intending politician for presidency will have their supporters taking the path to use derogatory languages against other candidates.
One Alimamy Savage, a strong supporter of APC also expressed dismay over the manner in which the current APC party members are behaving, adding that the party has disintegrated to the level that even a cleaner can now have a voice to stoutly cry out the whole leadership or making false allegations against their leaders.
Savage advised going forward an APC supporter should not fight another APC fan or use abusive languages against their leaders.
He further said but today it seems as if the APC is a newly formed party owing to immaturity by its members who are calling themselves bloggers.
“There should be respect for elders, the elders should not be abused or molested.
“The focus should be on challenge the government on issues of national interest. But why must the fight be APC to APC. Bloggers should challenge the excesses of the regime and not the APC,” Savage said.
Moseray Sankoh, also a supporter of APC, informed this medium that, the country is now left in the hands of the mercy of the few, adding that everyone is focusing on becoming a President than to checkmating the flaws of the current administration of President Julius Maada Bio.
She said there are many human rights violations committing by the sitting government that bloggers should talk about other than only focusing on their attention on attaching their party leadership structure.
“This is a new era because people do no longer deliberate on national issues but only those be of benefit to them. I feel pity for the country,” Sankoh said.
She revealed that the prices of commodities in the country are skyrocketing on a daily basis “while the country’s currency is deeply depreciating with the people suffering living on without a sign of hope or relief.”
Apart from the human rights violations committed in the country in pocket-senarious, she stressed that, the poor have become increasingly poor, stating that the situation has become worse that even the government workers are going with salary pay.
” Workers continue to be paid minimal rates which could fit their bills or be able to buy a bag of rice.”
Amidu Kamara who lives at Allen Town community said, the country is becoming fragile at every moment and the people have become impatient with the growing threats on their lives caused by either APC or SLPP bloggers.
However, he called for urgent interventions by electoral bodies moral guarantors to take action especially the United Kingdom and the United States and German embarrasses.
What is also clear, Kamara explained is that, Sierra Leone has been brought into disrepute by the June 2023 elections which had been widely condemned by international and local observations missions.
They international and local elections missions had described the previous elections as fraudulent marred with statistical inconsistencies.
He called for a final dialogue to address the 2023 elections issues and give peace to the citizens.
“Some APC bloggers accused their executive of a sellout while others accused Dr Samura Kamara of receiving money from President Julius Maada to forget about the June 24 elections and forge ahead,” he said.
Many public perception said the June 24 elections is won by the opposition APC party and the moral guarantors are urged to address the saga and for the country to return to normal.
Therefore, the APC bloggers are accused of creating a pathways to make this country an one party state.
