After their 2023 defeat, the All People’s Congress (APC) party has again promised to resort to a court action which has the propensity to derail the activities of the party all together.
The party before the 2023 elections went to courts several times which nearly brought down the party to its crawling knees.
The APC managed to get through all the court barriers and got their executives appointed across Sierra Leone.
The party after the polls, going now almost two years since June 23, 203, has now faced another threats of reversing development which many consider to be another bone on the throat of the party to breath a fresh air of ever having lasting peace.
One Alusine Sesay is said to be taking the party to court again previous others. He is to challenge the legality of the executive and their right to conduct a registration and verification exercise which has been ongoing.
And the APC lawyers are also reportedly ready to challenge the complainant in court.
Apart from the High Court matter that still hangs upon the APC to boot itself out, the party is also battling to control their bloggers who are busy dividing political club in perpetual relegation battle.
Some counter and counter claims on who has sold out the party has been the order of the day.
Many bloggers are now on the rampage sprouting bad words on party’s politicians on what many are referring to as indecent mannerism against their favorite politicians.
“Our party is at cross road. We are suffering due to unsubstantiated allegations from bloggers. Everyone in the party is cursing each other. Where and what is the truth now,” one Fatmata Savage had asked.
According to Fatmata Savage, the APC party is heading to doom-hell day by 2028 because their bloggers are using derogatory languages against their leaders to further or ever splitting the party, making it ill-prepared for elections.
“Some are even lying on their beds with their girlfriends sending unverified audios against our leaders. The APC supporters have no respect. But the leadership supposed to put disciplinary action against such people,” she said.
Many citizens have informed this medium that, the APC supporters especially the bloggers are more focusing on lambasting their leaders than looking at the current economic situation.
They said this is the only opportunity to address the problem caused by these outmodelled bloggers who cannot stop at nothing but chastising their leaders.
“Even our flagbear is not saying anything to us. The party leadership has kept quiet about the issues raised by bloggers. The way forward of the party and the tripartite committee recommendations is still under the green carpet,” Mustapha Koroma told this medium.
Many Sierra Leoneans are now taking the queue to the bloggers by believing their audios because the executive are not responding to the allegations put out on public.
In the recent interview, the Leader of opposition in Parliament, Hon Abdul Kargbo had confirmed that the executive are not engaging on any dubious act.
“Anyone saying the executive has received money from government or from President Julius Maada Bio is telling a big lie, ” Hon Kargbo defended.
He said the APC party “is not avers to the electoral justice” called by the Flagbearer Dr Samura Kamara.
He underscored that the party is standing ready to ensure that justice is dispensed on elections conducted in June, 2023.
Hon Kargbo called for unity and urged all to forgive and forget for the progress of the party.
