The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA)- Director of Competitions, Sorie Ibrahim Sesay and Head of Women’s Football, Mirian Heroe have last week successfully completed a two-day session from CAF General Coordinators in Monrovia, Liberia under the sponsorships of the West Africa Football Union (WAFU) Zone-A.
The Zonal Executive Director, Gaye Mapathe, disclosed during the opening ceremony that the seminar is in fulfillment of the Union’s vision to capacitate personnel that will be charged with various responsibilities in the management of competitions within Zone A.
CAF General Coordinator and facilitator, Madam Mukandanga Kelly, articulated delight on the level of commitment and efforts shown by participants during the two-day seminar. She added that, “I am of the fixed opinion that these set of learners will breakthrough to the highest level of CAF as General Coordinators in the near future”.
The contributors, who were evenly designated from the nine nations in the zone, were drilled on a number strategic tournament management areas, including organization, competitions management, responses to emergency situations, stadium inspections etc. The training was climaxed by the distribution of certificates merit.
