As community league progresses at the Parade Ground in Freetown, the Central One Football Association (COFA) Disciplinary Committee has made a decisive action against Kroo Town Road Rangers (KTR) following a protest by Soja Tong Football Community.

KTR has been banned from this year’s competition after fielding in an ineligible player, Abu Bakar Turay, who was banned by the Western Area Football Association (WAFA) on 17th July 2024 from all football-related activities.

The ruling came after the COFA Disciplinary Committee reviewed sufficient evidence presented by Soja Tong. As an affiliate of WAFA, COFA is bound by its regional body’s decisions, which apply to all COFA-related activities.

The committee found KTR in violation of these rules to include an illegal player in their lineup last week.
