The cottage hospital, PCMH is playing a host to some kush drug addicts who are often seen with terrible sore-feet as signs of terrible effects of the very harmful drug.
There have been a number of many young guys who regular die after smoking the deadly drug substance, kush grain.
When they become dizzyingly intoxicated by the hard drug, these kush paupers seek haven outside the buildings of the Princess Christian Maternity Hospital (PCMH) better known as cottage.
One of the clothes sellers, Alimamy Morlai Kamara, narrated ordeals of the drug addicts’ poor status and horrible end of life.
“The one this morning [Monday 29, January] hit his head badly to cottage fence and he died straight away. He was sleeping after he had snoozed the kush.
“About five of them I have counted in about three months. They use Guard Street big gutter as hideout to sniff kush.”
Kamara took a photo of the young man who slammed his head on a wall and had his temple injured very seriously causing him to die a fatal and untimely death.
“Our colleagues around Guard Street are dying day by day. We have been covering their corpses here at cottage.
“We wish authorities to know about this sad situation occurring at the perimeter of the hospital,” he hoped.
It’s clear that Kamara fears that the loitering of the kush addicts by the hospital will certainly cause patients at cottage to likely catch other diseases infected by the sickly or ‘kush corpses’.
This is because hospitals are meant to be always tidy and neat and therefore they should not be hosts places for paupers.
“Of course, you know that these kush guys don’t wash at all; they hate water. I have seen one of them got angered when he was unintentionally sprayed with a sachet of water,” says one Mr Ibrahim who prefers smoking marijuana to taking kush.
“I am a neat guy; so I don’t find problem in smoking marijuana because I don’t lose my five senses when I some it. And I can’t smoke such a grain that will prevent me to wash or being a hater of water. That is complete rubbish!” he said.
