Bra Parrot is a very patriotic and brave bird and will continue to be so at all times, no matter what!

Lately, the brave bird has noticed with utmost disappointment that the voters are not pleased with the system of governance especially the appointment of Mr. Mohamed Kenewui Konneh to conduct the upcoming elections.

 

From the look of things, the brave bird noticed that, certain people working for the Electoral Commission of Sierra Leone (ECSL) do not have love for the country.

 

The brave Bra Parrot has been hearing to accusations and counter accusations that Mr. Konneh, the Chief Electoral Commissioner and, his team are not honest and sincere towards conducting a peaceful, credible, fair and transparent elections on June 24th, 2023.

 

If the rumors and information about under age registration voter IDs displayed on various social media handles are anything to go by, then the allegations of dishonesty and rigging against Konneh and his so-called Commissioners are all in place.

 

It is appalling to notice that less than two weeks to election, negative revelations are still unfolding in respect of election rigging by the Chief Commissioner and by extension the entire ECSL.

 

Bra Parrot recently saw on one of the social media handles (Facebook) Voter ID Cards of under age in the Southeast specifically Kenema and Kailahun and, according to the 1991 Constitution “Every citizen of Sierra Leone being 18years old and above with a sane and sound mind shall have the right to vote, and accordingly shall be entitled to be registered as a voter for the purposes of public elections and referendum”.

 

Bra Parrot will now say with absolute authority that, Mohamed Kenewui Konneh and his team of Commissioners have violated the Constitution of Sierra Leone which is punishable by law.

The brave bird is of the sound view that, if only the authorities concern worth their salt, then Mohamed K. Konneh should be brought to face the law for violating the 1991 Constitution.
