The Wise Bird has been following the activities in Sam Sumana campaign camp to know whether Chief Sam Sumana is still interested to run for the position of President in the All People’s Congress (APC) party.

According to impeccable information reaching the Wise Bird is that, Chief Sam Sumana is ready, willing and still very much interested to take part in the race.

The brave bird was reliably informed that, some senior members of the APC party have asked Chief Sam Sumana to wait after the Tripartite Committee’s recommendations before anything could be done.

As the Wise Bird was flying around the APC’s party office, the Wise Bird overheard some members saying that, regardless of the letter sent out to Chief Sam Sumana, a five (5) man committee will be set-up to look into the membership matters including that of Chief Sam Sumana’s case regarding his membership in the party.

Long before this time, Chief Sam Sumana has been contemplating to go to court for better interpretation of the first letter given to him.

But knowing fully the position of the present judicial system, the big guys in the party had met the sacking Chief Sam to exercise patience because they knew if the matter went to court, an injunction might be placed on the APC thereby restraining the party from doing anything pertaining to politics, something which will be detrimental to the party.

However, as usual the bird went out to sound the views of party members and non-party members; the bird got mixed reactions on the issue.

Some members were very quick to have asked for a level playing field for everybody to take part as a member.

Some people were even asking whether Chief Sam Sumana is in the country.

 “Some of us have forgotten about him,” the people said.

If, he is in the country, can he come out in the open to make his intentions known to the people of Sierra Leone?
