The Deputy Speaker of Parliament who doubles as the Chairman of the Public Account Committee has hinted the media that Le 39 billion will be deposited to the Consolidated Revenue Fund (CRF) on Wednesday today.
According to Hon Ibrahim Tawa Conteh, the said amount will be posted and those who think they have met their obligations will have chance to meet the committee to furnish them with relevant information and documents for possible refund.
“I will collect our monies then whosoever thinks he has paid the country’s money will meet the committee.”
“ I will not ask for documents again. I will collect President Julius Maada Bio’s money anywhere it is,” Hon Tawa Conteh addressed journalists.
The Committee has been probing individuals who were queried by the Audit General’s Report regarding withholding of state funds and for lack of following procedural policies in dispensing their duties and responsibilities in their various MDAs.
