THE PRESS IS PARTNER IN STATE DEVELOPMENT
Dear Sir,
I am a regular reader of various newspapers including yours since you started publication almost two months ago.
Please allow me space to dilate on important issues of national interest.
First and foremost, I strongly hold on to the view that, the Press as the fourth estate is a very important organ in the development of any nation.
I wish to categorically state here that, for any government to run the affairs of a state effectively, it is a matter of must that it has to work with the Press.
Since the public is dependent upon the Press for all information, it is incumbent on government to be holding Press Conferences/briefings at regular intervals.
By so doing, the government will know what the people want and the people will also know what the government is doing or planning to do.
It is also my desire to admonish government to tighten the borders especially the Kambia border and other places.
Government must also do all in its power to collect more revenue to keep the state moving.
Thanks
Mr. Augustine T. Musa
