The Opposition Chief Whip in Parliament Hon. Abdul Karim Kamara  (AKK) has called for electoral justice in Sierra Leone.

It’s well known that State Opening is a special event in which the head of state will inform the citizens on what his government has done and what’s intended to be done in the subsequent years.

This event garners all walks of life to witness the process which as well provided the platform for the citizens to interact with their leaders.

On the 6th August, 2024, President Maada Bio was in the well for the State Opening again of the second session of six parliament of Sierra Leone.

But the occasion sparked flames of doubtfulness as many citizens have distinct perspectives and these people noted that the president has not done enough to address their welfare since he was elected president.

“If today is in the well, he is only here to inform us about his achievements and nothing but allusion.”

It’s well known that Opposition Chief Whip, Hon. Abdul Karim Kamara is a no- nonsense leader as he always stands to speak truth to power with his arguments full of enough proofs to the effects.

During the state opening, Opposition Chief out rightly stated that he was not expecting anything substantial from the speech of the president due to his ineptitude to address the needs of the citizens.

In the aspect of legislation, opposition Chief Whip noted that all President Bio’s six years ruling is to enact laws that are meant to protect his political party and little or nothing for the masses.

He furthered that they as Opposition Members have deemed it necessary to mourn for democracy has since this government came into existence there is nothing good to write home about when it comes to good governance, democracy, in that vein they put on the black and red outfits to demonstrate to the world that democracy has been buried under the leadership of President Maada Bio and as a result they are craving for electoral justice.

He therefore calls on all stakeholders that are nurturing democracy in the globe to pay premium attention in the country as they are now fatigue with brutality and electoral injustice is the pathway.
