The newly crowned paramount chief of Kalanthuba Chieftency election PC Alimamy Bayo Yembeh V , formerly known as Daniel Sara Sesay, upsurge to power has been nothing short of remarkable.
His rigorous journey to the throne started way back in the early 2000 when his elder brother Joseph Kala Turay of the “Turay ruling Family” for obvious reasons best known to him decided to step aside from the paramount chieftaincy race.
This development was not welcoming from supporters of the ruling Turay house, a reason why they humbly asked Daniel Sara Sesay to contest in the 2002 Paramount Chief Election for fear of the contest not to be one sided. Unfortunately for him, He was disqualified from the race.
Despite his unforeseen predicament, He relentlessly continues his philanthropist activities and active involvement in developmental projects.

Fast forward to 2017 de-amalgamation policy led to the separation of Kalansokoya and Kalanthuba chiefdoms.
PC Alimamy Bayo Yembeh had a landslide victory in the May 2025 chieftaincy elections securing 288 out of the total 320 votes cast.
This is seen as milestone achievements for the people of Kalanthuba as the twenty two years deadlocks for the quest of a paramount chief is now a story of the past.
PC Alimamy Bayo Yembeh has extended olive branch to his competitors in an effort to achieve unity and harmony in their land for sustainable development.
His development agenda centers on Education, Health, Agriculture and infrastructural development to improve the life of his constituents.
The last time Kalanthubah had a paramount chief was in 1952.
