Twenty-three years old Morie Kabba, a Labourer made his first appearance before Magistrate Peter Brima Gogra of Pademba Road Court No.6 in Freetown on a count of Larceny contrary to section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916.

According to the particulars of offence, on Saturday 1st July, 2023 at Sani Abacha Street in the western area of Freetown Stole one infinix Smart 7 plus mobile phone valued at two thousand, four hundred new Leones (NLe2, 400, 00) being property of Doris Kelfala.

When the charge was read and explained to the accused person he pleaded guilty.

The prosecutor, Inspector Mohamed Kamara told the court that fact as charge there is no available record against the accused person.

The accused person was unrepresented by legal representative and therefore he pleaded with the court to tamper justice with mercy.

Magistrate Gogra due to the plea mitigation by the accused person sentenced the accused person to twenty four months imprisonment to the male correctional center in Freetown.
