One of the most outstanding famale refrees in the country, Aminata Fullah from Magburaka has been appointed as the centre referee for the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers to be played between Cameroon and Egypt.
The 23 years old is a Sierra Leonean referee who will be officiating a FIFA match.
She will be joined by her compatriot Humu Marrah, who will serve as the fourth official.
The President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Thomas Daddy Brima, has strongly expressed immense pride in this development, highlighting the significance of Fullah’s appointment for the country’s refereeing community.
The last time Sierra Leone had a referee to officiate a FIFA match was in 2001, Alhaji Sanusi Rashid, who is now Chairman of the Sierra Leone Referees Organization.
He had officiated a FIFA U20 World Cup qualifiers between Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
