Sierra Leoneans from Karene District and other Districts have opined that Dr Samura Matthew Wilson Kamara has suffered double trouble.
According to them Dr Samura Kamara has suffered from what they decribed as stolen victory by the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) and now the only road linking to Dr Samura’s home district has been cut off.
The worst of what citizens of Karene District stated is that their only hope (the tripartite) is over with no positive outcome for Dr Samura Kamara and APC supporters.
They say Samura Kamara can no longer access his place of birth and home District due to the bridge collapse
The Chairman of Driver’s Union in that part of the country, Morlai Kamara, a resident of Karene District said it is obvious that SLRA had abandoned the construction of the temporal bypass promised to them. Chairman Molai Kamara informed Af24 newspaper that two weeks ago on, they still could not find any worker on the site, and nothing is going such as, at least, backfielding work, that is since the containers were being placed there.
According to Kamara there is no way for trucks to come in the town or go out including even the fuel tankers in Kamakwie town, a situation that has caused fuel shortage in the area.
What is more heart-rending, Morlai explained, is that the current bypass road they are using now for lightweight vehicles has become dangerous as drivers from Freetown and Makeni have rejected it and which has led to a serious increase in the price of food stuff and other commodities in the place.
“There is no fuel supply to Kamakwie and Tambaka currently. We are pleading to the government to please help us and finance the SLRA so they can speedily backfield the temporal container bridge to relieve us from this suffering and food price inflation,” Morlai cries.
