Twenty-four-years-old Mohamed Kamara and thirty years-old Gibrilla Bangura, a fisherman, made their first appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba road court No.1 in Freetown.
They stood on a count of larceny contrary to section of 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offence on Wednesday 5th June 2024 at City Hall Wallace Street in Freetown, stole five metal bars and three sewage metal covers, property of the Freetown city Council (FCC).
When the charge was read and explained to the accused person, they pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor Inspector Sellu TAP sought for adjournment for him to get proper conference with the witness.
Meanwhile, Magistrate Kekura granted bail to the accused persons in the sum of one hundred thousand Leones with two sureties in like sum sureties to be resident in the western area in Freetown.
The sureties produced valid identity cards depicting addresses in Freetown.
The bail was approved by the Deputy assistant Registrar and the matter was adjourned to the 28th June 2024.
