Two suspects are being locked up for allegedly collecting prohibited drugs without lawful authority.
David Johnson and Jelika Conteh made their first appearance before Magistrate Mustapha Braima Jah of Pademba Road Court No.1 in Freetown.
They are charged for Seven Counts for collection of prohibited drugs without lawful authority for transporting prohibited drugs without lawful authority, for possession of prohibited drugs without lawful authority, for dealing with prohibited drugs without lawful authority.
According to the particulars of offence on Tuesday 13th May 2025 at Mile 18 police checkpoint Kambia District the Northern province in Freetown, the suspect collected some prohibited drugs without lawful authority.
Count two further stated that on the same date and place the accused persons were found in possession of Eighty -Nine (89) compressed parcel of Cannabis Sativa without lawful authority.
Count three further stated that on the same date and place the accused persons transported some prohibited drugs without lawful authority.
Count four further stated that the accused persons dealt with prohibited drugs without lawful authority.
Count five further stated that they were found with in possession of Eight -Nine (89) compressed parcel of Cannabis Sativa without lawful authority.
Count six stated that on the same date the accused persons transported some prohibited drugs “Eighty -Nine (89) Compressed parcel of Cannabis Sativa without lawful authority.
When the charges were read and explained to the accused persons no plea was taken.
The State prosecutor A.N Taylor Esq sought for a short adjournment date to get proper conference with his witness.

Magistrate Jah refused bail and sent the accused to the male correctional facility in Freetown while the matter was adjourned to the 24th June 2025.
