Information reaching the wise bird is that, Amb. Eddie Masallay one of the District Chairmen for the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) is allegedly cannot properly account for monies and other materials given to him for the construction of the district party office in Pujehun.

Reports have it that the chairman is presently facing intense pressure and criticisms over his stewardship of an alleged $30,000 donated by former ECOWAS Speaker for the construction of the district party office, that he cannot accounted for.

Furthermore, it is also alleged that, 1,000 bags of cement was also donated by one senior party member, in the same token, chairman Masallay also allegedly received $25,000 from another senior party member for the same project.

It is also alleged that, the chairman is presently under very serious pressure for him to step-aside as the district chairman because his leadership is very much questionable, as senior party members no longer have confidence in him for the position of chairman.

Usually, as the bird did not know it all, he went out to sound the views of other people especially when it comes to issues pertaining political parties.

Those the bird contacted expressed dismay over the attitude of some senior party members with special reference to the present district chairman Amb. Eddie Masallay.

“If and only if, what is reported about Amb. Eddie Masally is anything to go by; then it is a big shame to the SLPP as a party,” one SLPP member cried out.

The bird flew to the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) office to get the views of other party members.

The remarks the bird got from party members at the SLPP office particularly in relation to some senior members, there attitude and behaviours towards the party affairs is nothing good to write home about.

The bird will continue to monitor the project to see how it is progressing.
