A Sierra Leonean named Abu Bakarr Conteh has found himself in hot waters with the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) government led by President Julius Madda Bio and thugs loyal also to SLPP. Conteh is accused of been one of the saboteurs against government due to his many involvement in protests against the SLPP.

Report states that Conteh, a strong member of the opposition All People’s Congress (APC) party stands accused as one of the protesters of the September 11, 2023 unrest in Freetown. Several arrests were made, but Conteh was fortunate to have escaped. His exact whereabouts remain a mystery after a raid was conducted at his residence by SLPP death squad.

Credible reports reaching Africa24 newspapers indicated that SLPP death squad who had identified Conteh vowed to be constantly raiding his house in order to teach him, a very bitter lesson that he would never live to tell the story.

These irate SLPP death squad accused Conteh of being a thorn on their flesh due to his participations in many other protests against their government since 2018. They stated that, this time around he will never go scot free, as he will face their wrath for sabotaging the SLPP government.

They opined that, Conteh is a living corpse as they will not hesitate to eliminate him in cold blood as according to them anyone who tries to bring disrepute towards their government will join his/her ancestors in the afterlife.

They stated that he can continue to hide wherever he is, but the day they set eyes on him; it will be the end of his existence on earth, they affirmed.

It could be recalled after the August 10, 2022 protest, several people perceived to be APC were arbitrarily arrested by the former Deputy Internal Affairs Minister, Lahai Lawrence Leema whom reports stated summarily executed his victims.

Up to date, family members have yet to see their loved ones as report maintained that they may have been killed in cold blood by Leema and his SLPP death squad. On the other hand, the police have woefully failed to protect victims alleged to be APC supporters due to ‘orders from above’.
