The All People’s Congress (APC) National Youths Congress will officially commence today at the Gallasis Hotel Conference Hall in Bo City. This highly anticipated gathering will bring together youth leaders, party officials, and delegates from across the country for a strategic and educational engagement aimed at strengthening the role of young people within the party’s structure.
The Congress is a significant platform designed to sensitize and empower young APC members on proper conduct and active participation in the party’s upcoming lower level and regional elections, as well as the forthcoming National Delegates’ Conference.
The event, with the theme: “Youth empowerment and political discipline,” aims at fostering unity, discipline and strategic mobilization among the party’s youth wing. According to the organizers, sessions will focus on leadership training, electoral preparedness, conflict resolution and political education.
Speaking ahead of the event, Ansu Bernard, the APC National Youth Congress Chairman, disclosed that this is a critical moment for the APC youth as future leaders of the party. He said it’s essential that they understand not only their roles but also the values and discipline expected of them as they approach these important elections.
He underscored that the Congress is expected to feature keynote speeches from senior APC officials, interactive breakout sessions, and panel discussions focused on youth inclusion, national development, and the responsibilities of party loyalists at the grassroots level.
Bo City, known as a political and cultural hub in the southern region, provides a fitting venue for this youth centered initiative. The Gallasis Hotel conference facilities are set to host hundreds of participants in what promises to be an impactful and energizing event for the party’s young members.
The APC National Youths Congress marks another step in the party’s broader strategy to ensure meaningful youth engagement, uphold internal democracy, and prepare for national political contests in the months ahead.
