Thousands of dignitaries from all walks of life including lecturers, parents, stakeholders and students converged at Alfrugan Yelesanda College [AyC] in Yelesanda village recently in the northern province to grace the thrilling occasion of certifying the first batch of graduate of students that successfully went through one-two year vigorous circular courses in the college.
Chairman of the programme Alhaji Ibrahim Mans Kanu who doubles as Ihsan Education Officer disclosed that the college was built by Ihsan Foundation a non-governmental organization in 2023 to provide tertiary education in science, Quranic reading for Imams and other people in that part of the country. It was further disclosed that Ihsan is currently operating in 9 countries in Africa including Sierra Leone the mother land of the CEO Dr. Ahmed Sheik Bangura, adding that the NGO is assisting these countries in diverse ways including education, health, agriculture and others. The creation of Teachers Training Institute for Imams in Rogbaneh village, the Ihsan Shabana Junior Secondary School in Rogbap, the Sankore Primary school, the Ihsan Orphanage and the free medical facilities for people in that area are some of the handiworks of this unique NGO that is contributing immensely towards the development of this country in diverse ways.
Those who are conversant with the operations of Ihsan in this country maintained that the name Sheik Alhaji Issa Ghale Sesay is synonymous with the NGO due to his immense contributions that are indelible on the NGO and they are highly raveled which is why he is always ready to give his best for the progress of Ihsan and for the development of the country at large. And by virtue of his nomenclature as Director of Global Impact, Supervisor of AYC as well as Consultant Lecturer little wonders he is ready to sacrifice all within his power for Ihsan and the country at large.
