Kadiru Kaikai made another appearance before Magistrate Joseph Kobba of Pademba Road Court No.2 in Freetown on a count charge of obtaining goods by false pretenses contrary to section 32 (1) of the Larceny Act 1916.

According to the particulars of offence, on 2nd March, 2019 in Freetown did receive men Kaftans, shoes, watch, men slippers, caps, dresses and bags all to the total value of three thousand United States dollars ($3,000) being properties of the complainant herein Rebecca Anyana Beckey by falsely pretending that he has a cheque to cash and will pay after cashing it knowing same to be false.

The accused was absent when the matter was mentioned in court.

Meanwhile, Magistrate Kobba issued bench warrant for the absent sureties respectively and adjourned the matter to 30th May, 2025 for further hearing.
