Bra Parrot is a bird that loves his country and people, which is why when he flew over the city and the surroundings recently, his heart almost flew out of his mouth, when he saw a massive number of youths on the street, smoking this cheap synthetic substance called Kush and other harmful drugs that has continue to kill them at alarming rate.

The wise bird’s fright suddenly changed to sadness when he realized that even teenage girls as well as women are also in the habit of smoking Kush to the point that most of them cannot even sit up properly when they take the kush.

As the peaceful bird keeps praying for the betterment of this country, he the wise bird does not want to see the youth being our future leaders abusing drugs and other harmful substances.

That is more the reason the patriotic bird is pleading with the authority (government) to take action by way of stopping the importation of this harmful drugs.

Bra Parrot is of the fervent view that, the only way to stop our youths/guys from taking this harmful drugs including kush is to stop the sources where they are coming from.

If any government in power cannot stop the importation of any harmful things into the country, it means that government doesn’t worth its salt.

It is for this reason the wise bird is appealing to the SLPP government to adhere strictly to the drug agencies rules and regulations.

Sierra Leone is bigger than any individual so all those in authority must not allow the youths of tomorrow to die at an early age.

 Bra Parrot has noticed that, allegations and counter allegations have been levied on the government as they are the importers of this harmful and dangerous drug into the country.

In all the allegations, government had never made a statement to debunk them.

 This situation has given credence to the adage: “Silent means consent.”
