The wise bird has been following the political trend in the main opposition, All People’s Congress (APC) party for quite some time now to be able to properly acquaint himself with its party activities.

It is no secret that, in 2018 the former President Ernest Bai Koroma single handedly hand-picked Dr. Samura Kamara to be the flag-bearer of the party and eventually the Leader as per the party’s Constitution of 2022.

However, Dr. Samura Kamara did not see the light at the end of the day.

And because of his popularity in 2018, he was again nominated to be the flag-bearer of the party in 2023 and he was voted for overwhelmingly at the National Delegates’ Conference.

After the 2023 general elections, there were a lot of controversies surrounding the outcome of its results, with Dr. Kamara claiming that he won, but was rigged in favour of the incumbent president Bio.

Dr. Samura Kamara stood firm condemning the outcome of that election, which he described as fraudulent, undemocratic and unfair to say the least.

After all the condemnations of the election by both local and international observers, the international community came in quickly to salvage the situation to prevent the country from plunging into another chaos.

From what the bird understood, the mounting tension at the time apparently warranted the establishment of the Tripartite arrangement so that, the aggrieved party will have a sigh of relief.

Bra Parrot has gathered from so many quarters that during that committee sitting, the opposition raised series of serious concerns as to how the wording of the report should be.

Meanwhile, there have been pushing and pulling in the APC party which has eventually led to split of opinions with Dr. Samura Kamara battling for ‘ELECTORAL JUSTICE,’ on one hand, while the rest of the party members have isolated him, arguing that, that course or fight is irrelevant, given that it is not in their party’s constitution. That fight has therefore remained a mere illusion up to date.

The bird will love to see where this much talked about Electoral Justice fight will work under the watchful eyes of President Bio who is currently at the helm of affairs of the state.

It is however important to note that, after an in-depth investigation by the bird, it was and still clear that Dr. Samura Kamara is a force to reckon with in the country’s political landscape.

About 50-60% of the people the bird contacted are in total support of Dr. Samura Kamara and he may want to use that to destabilize the APC party come 2028 if not given the chance to run again.
