The road to prosperity is still rough as lots of women in Allentown market are persistently complaining about the hike in prices of food and nonfood items in the country.

Market women have said the cost of living is astronomically high, a situation that they have attributes to be caused by SLPP’s nonfriendly government policies.

They said the SLPP government is making things difficult for them as they now live to survive like a magic working miracles.

The people have also checkmated the traders who are increasing prices daily on foods to make huge profit at the expense of the masses.

Speaking to this medium, Nennah Conteh complained about how things have become difficult for her and family.

She said the current cost of living has the propensity of causing starvation.

Conteh have attributed the situation to the wrong policies by the government, adding that government should do all within its power to salvage the appalling econmic sitiation.

She also blamed president Julius Maada Bio for the failure to speak out  on the ongoing situation in the country.

“We are living by magic now. Many women and children are facing excruciating situation which has the tendency to cause starvation if such a crucial situation persists in the future,” she said.

One Aminata kamara also complained about the same issues on the hike of prices on commodities in the market.

She informed that their survival now depends on God’s mercy.

“It is very difficult even to sell our goods and make out a profit, so we are pleading to the government to do something about the cost of prices on materials and foodstuffs in Sierra Leone,” she lamented.

Mabinty sesay compared  the APC government era as far better than now when one looks at the cost of price of goods and services in the country.

“A were a lot of opportunities  during APC era but since the SLPP took governance  everything has been in complete shamble”.

Sesay is requesting  president to decrease  prices on foodstuffs and goods in the country.
