The newly appointed female sports Minister, Madam Augusta James-Teima, has been welcomed by a cross section of Milton Margai University staff at her Bishop House Office, Siaka Stevens Stadium in Freetown.
The staff congratulated Augusta Janes-Teima for her outstanding work over the years especially while she was head of department of physical education at MMU.
Speaking during the seminar, Augusta James-Teima, said she appreciated her former colleagues from Goderich campus, adding that, the government is ready to work with all the 49 sporting disciplines in the country.
Though, she admitted, there are endless challenges ahead, but with support from all stakeholders and sports lovers, things would be better in the future.
“To be honest, your visit is a blessing to me; it’s a symbol of joy and a sense of belonging. As we share a wonderful time together, your courtesy call and congratulatory messages are signs of hope to me and the ministry as a whole,” the minister noted.
