The Sierra Leone police has on Tuesday 6th May, 2023 arrested a Nigerian national, Dayomie Ogurimefun Ademokua  of California Section, Nicol compound in Freetown  in possession of a  Umarex Pistol with a magazine filled with 15 bullet.

According to the police media team, police officers on Tuesday 6th June, 2023 on their normal routine duty at the checkpoint at Portee, in Kissy, Freetown while conducting a search discovered the 15 live rounds Umarex pistol in the possession of Dayomie Ogurimefun Ademokua, adding that the now suspect was dressed in black with black mask, combat boot, black trousers and black jacket.

They disclosed that security personnel comprising SLA 18178265 Sgt Bangura F, PC 17296 Kamara J, and PC 18204 Bathalomie Gasimu including other officers deployed at the said checkpoint searched and discovered the Umarex pistol containing fifteen bullets.

They added that an observer described the foreign national as a sniper who was on a special assignment on that day before he got apprehended by the police.
