Through the United Council of Imams with a membership of over 70,000 in the country recently indulged in Quranic reading as well as supplication to God for His mercy and protection from the wicked hands of the Devil at a precarious time of general elections in our beloved country.

Dr. Mohamed Habib Sheriff, President of the United Council of Imams reiterated on the International conflict in West Africa, America and other part in Africa which he said is having replicating effect to other countries which they fervently believe as religious leaders can only be averted by God which is why they have taken the venture to pray for His intervention for peace in our country and the world at large.

The programme was hosted in various parts in the country yesterday including Freetown and was officiated by N.C.I President, Dr. Mohamed Habib Sheriff.
