The Head Coach of Ports Authority football club, Lamin Bangura, is announced dead by the management of the Sierra Leone Ports and Harbours Authority.
Bangura is said to have involved in a very gruesome accident along the Freetown-Mile 91 highway.
“We extend our deepest condolences to the family of Head Coach-Lamin Bangura on his untimely passing,” SLPHA writes.
“His sudden departure while on active duty with Ports Authority FC has left us all profoundly saddened.”
“On behalf of the Director-General, Management and Staff of Sierra Leone Ports and Harbours Authority, we extend our deepest condolences to the family of Head Coach-Lamin Bangura.”
The management said Coach Bangura’s dedication, passion, and leadership had left an indelible mark on SLPHA and his loss would be deeply felt by those who knew him before.
Speaking in a tone of uncontrollable emotion, SLPHA’s director-general, Yankuba Askia Bio had had this to say:
“Our thoughts and prayers are with each member of our team and their families who have been deeply impacted and profoundly saddened by this tragic event.”
Players of Ports Authority club and technical staff members, who involved in the crash, may have been hospitalized and are promised to be taken great care of.
SLPHA had extended their thanks and appreciations to the football fraternity for their love and support as members of the port and club are gripped by sorrow and horror.
