The wise bird has been a friend of the Sierra Leone Police for a very long time and will continue to be as long as the Force exist which the bird knows it will.
It is no secret that, the usual sitting place of Bra Parrot was carried away by heavy storm almost three years ago.
So, the bird has been looking for another comfortable place to sit to do his day-to day work without disturbance.
The only place that comes to mind was the Police Headquarters where there are number of trees to perch on.
Sitting in one of the trees very close to the police headquarters, he overheard some senior police officers discussing in low tones about the retirement of the Inspector General of the Sierra Leone Police William Fayia Sellu.
To get clear insight about the topic, he further went closer and closer to take part in the discussion, but unfortunately, he didn’t get the opportunity so he just sat motionlessly listening attentively to the discussion.
As the discussion progresses, one of the officers was very quick to say that, the Inspector General of Police William Fayia Sellu is expected to retire officially in July of this year.
One of the men answered in the affirmative, quoting records at the Human-resource office.
Meanwhile, the officer alleged that the IG has plans to extend his tenure in office because he is in the good books of the present regime.
According to report, the Inspector General and the rest of other officers at the police headquarters will be relocated to Kingtom anytime from now as the police headquarters need some amount of renovations.
However, the bird is yet to confirm all the allegations that the official age of the Inspector-General will be expired in July this year.
The bird will continue to investigate all the information to the teeth.
