The National Emergency and Medical Services (NEMS) has on Thursday 16th, February, 2023 donated a brand new ambulance vehicle to the Sierra Leone Roads Safety Authority (SLRSA) in a bid to help save more lives.
Addressing participants present at the donation, the Chief Executive Officer of NEMS, Mr Abdul Wurie, said, “NEMS is happy to work with SLRSA to achieve a common goal.”
The Chief Executive Officer of NEMS Mr. Abdul Wurie stated that SLRSA are doing excellent work towards ensuring that roads are safe for vehicles and pedestrians.
Mr. Abdul Wurie urged NEMS to use the ambulance for its intended purposes.
The Executive Director of Sierra Leone Roads Safety Authority (SLRSA), Mr Smart Senesie, applauded the CEO of NEMS while appreciating the CEO’s kind gesture.
Mr Senesie stated that the SLRSA’s gesture would help in the high-will management program of SLRSA, adding that it would help in the process of saving more Sierra Leonean lives, especially during critical situations when they are involved in accidents.
He disclosed that the donation by NEMS was timely to the SLRSA because, he said SLRSA had planned their week to be at Mile 91, and the ambulance would aid their mission.
He assured the CEO of NEMS of SLRSA’s continued effort in collaborating towards saving more lives and reiterated that the donated ambulance will be utilized for its intended purpose.
