Thirty-eight year old Ibrahim Sowa a motorbike rider, made another appearance before Magistrate Augustine Brima Samura of Pademba Road court No.4 in Freetown on a count charge of fraudulent conversion contrary to section 20 (i) (iv) (a) of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offence, on Saturday 26th May 2024 at Wallace Johnson Street in the western area of Freetown, fraudulently converted to his own use or benefit certain property that is to say, one Star TVS motorbike blue in colour with registration number AVR 659 valued twenty one thousand leones (21,000) entrusted to him by Emmanuel Davies for the purpose of safe keeping property of Mohamed J. Kamara
When the charge was read and explained to the accused person, he pleaded guilty.
The voluntary caution statement and the charge statement was produced and tendered as exhibit A1-7 and exhibit B1-3 in court the file was converted by the Magistrate based on the offences charged.
Meanwhile, Magistrate Samura sentenced the accused person to ten months imprisonment to the male correctional facility in Freetown. Sergeant 1306 Augusta B. Sesay prosecuted the matter.
