Twenty-seven year old Alpha Turay, a driver made another appearance before Magistrate Augustine Brima Samura of Pademba Road Court No.4 in Freetown on a count charge of fraudulent conversion contrary to section 20 (1) (iv) (b) of the Larceny Act of 1916.

According to the particulars of offence, on Wednesday 30th April, 2025 at Bah Junction Gbendembu, Goderich in the western area of Freetown fraudulently converted to his own use or benefit certain property, that is to say, one Yamaha Boxer 150 motorbike with registration number AOF 154 value eighteen thousand Leones (18,000) entrusted to him by Brima Sannoh for the purpose of delivery the said property at his house at #1 Sannoh Drive, Juba Hill in Freetown.

When the charge was read and explained to the accused person he pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor Sergeant 1306 Augusta B. Sesay sought for a short adjournment date for her next witness.

Meanwhile, Magistrate Samura granted bail to the accused in the sum of twenty five thousand leones with one surety in like sum and must be ordinary resident in the western area of Freetown and should produce valid identity card depicting his or her address in Freetown and bail to be approved by the Deputy assistant Registrar. Matter was adjourned to 2nd June, 2025.
