It has been predicted by many political observers and pundits that there is no doubt going to be a huge void votes in the coming general elections slated for June 24th 2023 following the widespread intake of the latest killer drug in the country ‘kush’ especially by young people.
The incessant consumption of this latest harmful drug by the country’s youthful population has become worrisome not only to parents but also the government, given that it will not only destroy their future but have the tendency to undermine state security.
Of recent, parliament became infuriated over the issue and summoned both the Police Inspector General and the Minister of Internal Affairs to explain what they done to tackle the growing problem.
And even though police have continued to raid these drug pushers and users, it seems there is no end in sight to the fight.
Many civil servants including police and military personnel have been sacked as a result of their involvement.
It is now feared that most of these drug users, most of them believed to be first time voters are not going to vote properly, given the fact that once they smoke, they will lose their senses thus, vote the wrong way, except, otherwise something is done now and fast before the elections.
