The Wise Bird has been getting sleepless nights since the unfortunate incident called black-out re-surfaced in the capital Freetown almost two weeks ago.

Since then, Bra Parrot has been flying the length and breadth of the capital to get first-hand information about the light situation in Freetown; and he is doing that to see whether what prevails in the East also exists in the West in terms of electricity problem.

To the dismay of the brave bird, the entire city is completely dark.

The Wise Bird tried to contact those in the electricity sector to get face-to-face talks with those in the electricity sector called Civil Servants, but all efforts by the brave bird proved futile, and it seemed some are considering themselves as semi-gods and so they don’t pick up phone calls let alone be willing to talk to the public.

The Wise Bird has been making every move to know the cause or causes of the continuous black-out in the capital city.

What the Wise Bird has noticed was that, government after government have not been very honest to the people of Sierra Leone; they’ll always tell lies to the people to only gain political points at the detriment of the people.

When the light issue (black-out) came up, the people were again told it would start with maintenance of cables, but later the whole thing turn-out to be payment of millions of dollars to the Karpowership as alleged.

And and of late, the Wise Bird was reliably informed that the government is presently negotiating with the Karpowership agency for a payment plan.

This means, plus, minus, the allegation of government having to do some payment of money to the Karpowership was correct and still correct.

This is a clear indication that the government is not honest to the people of this country and will always lie to the people.

There is a saying that, speak the truth and let the devil be ashamed, but the government is in the habit of telling lies to the people.

Day-in-day-out, lies are told to the people. The government believes in telling lies; they don’t call things by their correct names like the Wise Bird will always do – to call things by name.

From maintenance to payment of millions of dollars and later to negotiations – this is deceitfulness to the people of this country.

In fairness to President Bio, even though he is the Head, but he has little or no blame on this, but government Public Relations unit is responsible for this embarrassment and mess to the President.

If the Wise Bird was the President, thank God he is not – he’ll just show all those in that unit the exit door.
