Hawamack Star Foundation which is among the few leading humanitarian foundations in Sierra Leone has dedicated itself to advocating for the right and needs of children, drugs abuses, promoting rehabilitation services and improving the wellbeing of the less privileged.
Under the leadership of Mr Cyrill Umeh owner and founder of the Foundation claimed that lots have been done quite recently in embarking on humanitarian services by visiting and providing for all the districts in the republic.
Cyril Umeh who is known as generous patriot said that the Foundation is on the spirit of helping the poor and needy especially those in the rural communities, bringing them out of their poor conditions by helping to improve their economic status in the country. Umeh said he is operating in line with the agenda for change, by ensuring that no Sierra Leonean is discriminated against when it comes to help and development.
The Foundation’s primary target is to create public awareness on the abject poverty ravaging the rural communities in the country and help to reduce its impact.
In an exclusive interview, CEO Umeh said that the Foundation was established primarily to serve humanity especially the less privileged with unbearable conditions. “Our work is to serve and cherish those within the face of hardship. “You inspired us every day with your courage and determination,” Umeh Said.
The Foundation under Cyril Umeh over the past years to present is making tremendous progress in the lives of so many people. It has provided medication for almost 212 people in critical condition in various districts. He has also ensured that farmers have enough to eat by distributing several bags of rice to them especially those in the rural settings. He has promoted and supported education by awarding scholarships to the less privileged. Hawamack Foundation’s benevolence and magnanimity in upholding the Foundation is quite admirable.
Aisha Sogore, a Board Member added that is their responsibility to help all Sierra Leoneans cut across the country without discrimination or segregation as they will continue to bless lives at different level, district and regions.
