Usually reliable sources have revealed to this medium that Lamin Kamara was among protesters that demonstrated stiff resistance against the transfer from the EDSA Compound along the Magburaka Kamal Street in Makeni to the Airport in Lungi on July 18, 2020. Sources within the corridors of police say he is wanted for resisting state security and presidential orders.
According to report, Lamin Kamara was among the youths that played active role by resisting the Military personnel and OSD officers openly during the chaos. Reports also added that live bullets were fired which resulted in the death of four people and scores wounded.
Initial attempts by police and soldiers to fire up the sky in order to stop the swelling crowd proved abortive due to the stout resistance of the angry youth.
It was revealed to this medium that loyal thugs of the ruling SLPP party who identified Lamin Kamara on that day, later went in search of him at his residence in Makeni, but were unable to apprehend him.
These loyal thugs of SLPP reports added actually intended to kill Lamin, they promised not to relent in their pursuit to eliminate him for his recalcitrant attitude against their government. Lamin’s exact whereabouts remain unknown after the incident.
