“Let thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven”.
Indeed, for the fact that the APC and the SLPP have finally sat on a round-table with a meeting to talk about peace, so it means that God has manifested his omnipotence once more in this of our beloved country Sierra Leone.
Even though almost all the meetings are still having problems and have not yielded much dividends up to date as expected by the people.
From the look of things, the ruling government is still determined to pursue and stand by what they have stood for.
The government in the pursuit of peace as President Bio himself wants peace to rain they did not want to bend down to the dictates of both the opposition and the International Community.
When the news broke out that, the APC and the SLPP were at Bintumani for peace talks there was jubilation nationwide hoping that peace would be here at last.
The government was very much magnanimous to appoint the persons to sit in the committee to show their commitment for peace, to also show that the opposition APC wants peace; thus they agreed and appointed its members to sit in the committee.
But unfortunately, up to date the peace talks are still having hiccups on both sides; the ruling government and the opposition cannot eat on one table because they have not been able to put the same cards on the table to reach an agreement.
The only problem the sitting government is capitalizing on is the disunity of the opposition APC. If and only if the opposition should have been united as expected, they should have the upper hand over the government.
The sitting government is capitalizing on the disunity of the opposition, and so they’re having a field day.
The government knows if and if the opposition is completely united as expected, it will be very difficult for the government to be doing the likes of what it is doing.
Sierra Leoneans need peace and not pieces. What actually has both the government and the opposition have achieved during the six months of the so-called tripartite committee?
Sierra Leoneans, in the past, including Muslims, Christians and the brave bird were fervently praying to the ALMIGHTY LIVING GOD for ever lasting peace and sanity to return to this country, but the prayers have still not answered.
Most of the people said, the answer is still HARDSHIP, KILLINGS, and SUFFERING.
Let us all hope that, all other meetings between the government and the opposition yield fruitful dividend.
