When the New Direction Government assumes power in Sierra Leone, President Julius Maada Bio seems to be seen by Sierra Leoneans as a man of practical action, not as a man renowned for empty rhetoric and who prefers to avoid grandiose declarations.
But by assuming power, he has entered a new linguistic territory of fake promise in his Corruption fight with incalculable damage to our country.
His chaotic Corruption fight Policy is a total disruption and now looks like a defeated Policy that has surrendered itself, with political schisms inflamed by Partisan interest.
President Bio’s blustery method of fighting Corruption in Sierra Leone conceals his weakness with a Policy driven by Partisan interest that lacks courage and determination.
Six-plus years into the promised Corruption fight in Sierra Leone, much remains unfulfilled, with clear evidence that the Political promise by the New Direction Establishment has become a broken promise.
President Julius Maada Bio boasted of blocking leakages, but he damaged his promise by his failure to jail state looters, which is a display of his disdain for his political promise to the nation, and he falls short of demonstrating his committed agenda of war against Corruption.
President Bio’s Corruption flattery didn’t entice the people of Sierra Leone, as his inaction toward his promise is increasingly hard to swallow. This is the very New Direction Establishment that is in power that made Corruption fight their manifesto headlines but Yet debating such efficiency.
The truth is confusing as the people who are at the helm of governance never accept the damage as the New Direction Establishment came to power with the mandate to block the leakages but the leakages have gone deeper.
The New Direction Government of President Rtd.Brigadier Julius Maada Bio has complicated himself in an unedifying way over his Corruption fight, and agonising over no Jail term for state looters. This rhetoric really shows a lack of interest and sincerity in the Corruption fight that defines the New Direction Government.
This political gimmick is probably the most consequential and obvious fake promise in the politics of Sierra Leone as the entire establishment is Chums ideologically aligned.
President Bio’s New Direction Government has become a government of self-enrichment and public squalor with consequences that have reverberated through the minds of the people of Sierra Leone.
The Failed Promise of Corruption Fight in Sierra Leone is a total provocation and an assault on the people of Sierra Leone. As Sierra Leoneans, we have lost the argument of Corruption fight and it is a manifesto that our national politics is in desperate need of.
The big question now Is, is there any moral language of fairness in President Bio’s Corruption fight pledge? The answer is unthinkable and all sounded like President Bio made a mistake in promising the Country with his manifesto of blocking the leakages.
In reality, the common understanding among Sierra Leoneans now is that it is difficult for President Bio to achieve his Promised Corruption fight, which is as aspirational as it is fruitless and difficult it is to achieve as there are fatal flaws in the whole system of the Corruption fight.
Corruption fight in Sierra Leone promised by the president Rtd. Brigadier Julius Maada Bio was once regarded as the most valued asset in the New Direction Establishment of President Bio but has become an uncontrollable maverick seemingly wrecking the Country’s economy.
Beyond no doubt, the Corruption fight in Sierra Leone is a foolish and mockery promise highlighting favouritism and partisan sentiments and polarised with bubbling cherry-picking justice. Now is the time for the New Direction Establishment to take action that matches its long-term promise, not just a frivolous promise.
Indeed Corruption is a big and massive issue in our country and needs a strategic response from our politicians. Can our Country continue as we are under the current Corruption scale? But honestly speaking, reality can’t be avoided as Corruption is causing self-harm in our Country and can’t be ignored.
Our Politicians should be prudent enough to ensure that, Corruption should be eradicated.
In Sierra Leone today, the question of genuine Corruption has been met with evasion, deception, obstruction, false and Contempt, leaving the people of Sierra Leone in Complete quagmire about the way the New Direction Establishment is fighting Corruption in the Country. The people of Sierra Leone really want to know the complicity of President Bio’s Corruption fight as democracy entails accountability and transparency.
After years of political gimmicks and inaction of the Ant– Corruption Commission, yet Corruption in Sierra Leone has jolted and amplified the system with just more empty words of action lower than it was in the comparative salad days when the New Direction Establishment newly assumed power.
Is Corruption striking hard in Sierra Leone? It all remains to be seen whether President Rtd. Brigadier Julius Maada Bio can find a new way to trigger his promised Corruption fight – And if So, What the outcome might look like
LONG LIVE THE PEOPLE OF SIERRA LEONE.
GOD BLESS US
