For the past excruciating and laborious 5 years, the opposition All People’s Congress Party (APC) has witnessed an era of disruption, betrayal, backstabbing and upheaval which has manifested the weakness and uncertainty of politics – as -usual, but yet still the calamity of choosing of a flag- bearer in the Grand Old Party remains as damaged as ever.

The APC party has been doing more harm than good by fooling and taking their supporters for granted, alienating their voters and destroying public trust which was entrusted on their party.

Worst of all, the party’s chances of the march to the State House is diminishing as factional warfare seems to take precedence over the timid, unambiguous and unapologetic slogan “Back to Power 2023”

An insatiable Grand Old Party is spitting out venoms from a ravaging python and spitting fire from an angry and wild dragon, culminating with rising tensions amongst its supporters and members which is now falling into disgrace and discrepancy, and the party’s image and reputation has taken a merciless beating with heads looking down like a guilty toddler after facing rebuke from his parents.

The opposition APC party is living in a slow crisis of Apciness which is now a chronic symptom in the party with no diagnosis in sight.

The newly drafted constitution of the party has now become fashionable and deride to the plans enacted by the political danger for the newly elected party flag bearer Mr. Samura Wilson Kamara which is obvious and would face an enormous pressure from his party members and supporters to clear himself to pipe down.

For the past five years, the opposition All People’s Congress Party (APC),has been existing in a state of constitutional limbo and denial, as the party’s politics became polarized along tribal and regional bigotry coupled up with propaganda, fake news and profanities filled with mammy cuss-cuss, their all-time proud national anthem.

The party has floundered again by electing Samura Wilson Kamara as their flag bearer, an incoherent decision that has split the Grand Old Party and never to be able to grapple with the fundamentals of the party’s Constitution.

This decision taken at the party’s national delegate’s conference in Makeni has confirmed that, the party’s forward to the State House has now been halted which can be affirmed by the supreme court criminal case hanging over the head of the newly elected flag bearer.

This action of the party will not yield any good dividend but only to their defeat and imperil and this has also caused uneasiness amongst members and supporters of the Party.

Indeed the APC party has no regard for truthfulness and now the reality holds them to account and damning the lethal consequences.

The self- Pitying narratives by some factions of the Party defying the court order and go ahead with their national delegates conference and electing candidates that were listed under the COI was more self-destructive and more of a pernicious unfathomable debacle.

This is one of the worst strategic errors by any political party in the history of Sierra Leone. Indeed this has shown that, anything is possible from this generation of the new APC Party and won’t be hesitant to put a candidate that is under criminal investigation as a possible contender for the State House.

I think the new APC Party has now become a Party that has stigmatized its hope,  a party full of chums and dishonesty with a legacy of deception deceits and untruths.

With the public trust and faith in the opposition APC Party is now at a very low ebb, I think a future Pa- O- Pa dominated establishment could tighten its dominance in the governance of Sierra Leone and create a Culture change to expose those who stood against reality and truth.

The opposition party’s action has thwarted their pragmatic ambition for their journey to the state House and has widened the cracks within the APC Party.

They must be fully aware that, there is going to be a reprisal for treating other regions in the country as fiefdoms,  and which do not recognize the legitimacy of the concluded flag bearer election.

Party loyals and sympathizers are now muttering about such moves taken by the party. The supporters and members are being irritated by such sanctimony. But the worst of it all comes from the growing realization that, the party’s God Father, savior and mentor, Ernest Bai Koroma turned tormentor with no sense of direction to where his GPS (Global Positioning System) is taking him to.

With old age culminating with greed, power, self-centered and eccentricity, he has forever become the proprietor of their party and Moses to his followers and avid believers in this dire time.

This is a sad episode for the Grand Old Party as the twilight has fallen over the party. The supporters and members enduring strengths are just morbid symptoms of the decline of the once unbeatable and supposedly indomitable Red Burning Sun.

The problem now within the opposition APC Party is not Nationalism, not Patriotism but APCINESS and SELFISHNESS.

The big question now is Who to be blamed?
