The Sierra Leone Timber Association (TASL) and it entire membership have completely disclaimed false publications by local tabloids that was shared on social media unproven of exploitation and corruption activities against the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Lead-way Trading Company Sierra Leone Limited, Mr. Babadi Kamara.
He confirmed to Africa24 newspaper that, the allegations are baseless, unfounded and misleading but, also lacks proof and evidences.
‘Since my appointment as CEO by President Bio in 2018, my outstanding executive has been standing tall in a bid to support and complement the primary goal of the government. We believe in transparency and accountability, my able team and I have generated revenue for the state at least to ease the economic challenges in the country. And our dream is to help the needy” he commented.
Speaking to the Interim Chairman of the TASL, Mr. Chernor A.S. Dabor he stated that the association strive towards credible leadership and integrity in the society over the years, adding that the Sierra Leone Timber Association will embark on tree planting exercise with it members, targeting the Northern District Town of Kamakwei.
Mr. Dabor affirmed to this medium that since November, 2021 to present the association has made tremendous progress in terms of human development and capacity building at all levels. Even though, some people are still frowning at the achievement of the association base on their own thought.
