Our position has not changed since we hit the news stand of this Country seven months ago and, it will never be changed as long as we are working in the interest of our beloved ‘Mama Salone’.
Some people have started associating this tabloid with some personalities in this country all in a bid to challenge our neutrality.
Africa 24 newspaper is non-political, non-partisan and it is not answerable to any individual or group of individuals. We have no patrons and interest groups.
Our patron and interest groups are Sierra Leone and Sierra Leoneans only and nobody else. This is why we have neither permanent friends nor enemies.
We can blast and be damned and give praise where praise is due.
We have no hidden agenda and, we are steadfastly going straight ahead and forward with little attention to our detractors.
Our aim is not to become wealthy overnight at the detriment of the nation, but merely to live a reasonable and modest life and provide the required Journalistic services to this nation.
It is very clear the editorial team of this newspaper does not in anyways tolerate half-baked educated people.
The team is full of seasoned, matured, experienced and well trained Journalists in the field of Journalism.
In short, the Africa 24 newspaper is an old wine in new bottle as it can be detected from our news-stories, commentaries and editorials.
We are however guiding ourselves against sensationalism, vilification and the likes.
We are threading very cautiously though without fear or favour in all we are doing and, we are also very mindful of the Independent Media Commission (IMC) media code of practice.
The Africa 24 newspaper stands for Justice, fair play and to uphold the democratic principles and we are prepared to challenge even the traditional “Untouchable” including the almighty Executive, Legislative and the controversial Judiciary as long as they portray negative tendencies which may affect us, you and the general public.
The Africa 24 newspaper is here and here to stay for good. We know our detractors will not want us to see the light at the end of the day but that is a big mistake on their side, the Management of this institution is ready, willing and determine to seek the interest of the people of Sierra Leone at all times .
God help Salone!
